ASEAN Award Judging Criteria
- Design Excellence: Demonstrating aesthetics, promoting efficiency, advancing community-building & humanity
- Innovation: Innovative and creative usage of steel in expressing the design identity, and/or achieve the functionality
- Sustainability: Demonstrating the design attributes to support energy-saving, water conservation, waste reduction and recycling, and carbon efficiency
ASEAN Award Categories
- Residential (low-rise building)
- Commercial (incl. hospitality)
- Industrial / Non-commercial (incl. logistics)
- Institutional & Others (incl. airport, metro station, institutional building, infrastructure, etc.)
- Long Lasting Beauty of COLORBOND® steel (for the building project using COLORBOND® steel completed earlier than the last five years)

There are 2 levels which are Country Award Winners and ASEAN Award Winners
- Country Award Winners: 1 winning project per category
- ASEAN Award Winners: 1 winning project per category, selected from the Country Award Winners
Reward and recognition
Country Award: a Country Award Winner in each category will receive.
- Country Award trophy and certificate
- Country Award non-cash prize
- Eligible as the candidates of ASEAN Awards
- Attend the ASEAN Award ceremony including air ticket and accommodations at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
