ASEAN Award Judging Criteria

• Design Excellence: Demonstrating aesthetics, promoting efficiency, advancing community-building & humanity
• Innovation: Innovative and creative usage of steel in expressing the design identity, and/or achieve the functionality
• Sustainability: Demonstrating the design attributes to support energy-saving, water conservation, waste reduction and recycling, and carbon efficiency

ASEAN Award Categories

• Residential (low-rise building)
• Commercial (incl. hospitality)
• Industrial / Non-commercial (incl. logistics)
• Institutional & Others (incl. airport, metro station, institutional building, infrastructure, etc.)
• Long Lasting Beauty of COLORBOND^® steel (for the building project using COLORBOND^® steel completed earlier than the last five years)

Level of Winners

There are 2 levels which are Country Award Winners and ASEAN Award Winners

• Country Award Winners: 1 winning project per category
• ASEAN Award Winners: 1 winning project per category, selected from the Country Award Winners

Reward and recognition

• Country Award: a Country Award Winner in each category will receive.
  • Country Award trophy and certificate
  • Country Award non-cash prize
  • Eligible as the candidates of ASEAN Awards
  • Attend the ASEAN Award ceremony including air ticket and accommodations at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
• ASEAN Award: an ASEAN Award winner in each category will receive.
•     ASEAN Award trophy and certificate
•     One week learning and sharing trip to Australia

Sep 2024 : Country Award winners announced from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam

Oct 2024 : Country Award winners present to the ASEAN jury panel via online

Nov 2024 : Announce ASEAN Award winners

Mar 2025 : ASEAN Award winners to Australia for learning and sharing trip
